Yes. Jefferson Flats welcomes applicants from around the world. Applicants without US credit history can qualify by submitting a copy of their passport and I-20 (or DS-2019 for J-1 visa holders) along with their application.

We understand that not every applicant has a US-based co-signer. Jefferson Flats accepts third-party guarantor services such as LeapEasy, which provides guarantor coverage to applicants regardless of citizenship or US credit history. Contact our leasing team and we'll walk you through the option that works best for you.

Once you've been admitted to the University of Southern California, an official representative from USC's Office for International Services (OIS) will issue your I-20 (or DS-2019 for J-1 visa applicants). Email a copy to [email protected] along with your application.

Yes. Jefferson Flats offers fully online leasing. Whether you're still abroad or already in Los Angeles, you can complete your application and sign your lease from anywhere with an internet connection.

Yes. Jefferson Flats offers roommate matching. There is a portion of the application with general questions — if you'd like us to match you with a roommate, we use those responses to do so. You can also reach out to our office directly at [email protected].

Yes. All of our units come fully furnished with appliances included. Furnishings include a bed, mattress, dresser, desk and chair, and living room furniture. You will need to provide cookware, utensils, plates, etc.

Yes. Jefferson Flats is located at 1320 W Jefferson Blvd — just 1.5 blocks from the University of Southern California campus. You'll have easy access to the USC Village, campus resources, and everything the neighborhood has to offer.

Utilities are already set up — we bill you back for your unit's electricity and water usage each month. Internet is included in your monthly community fee and your unit is internet-ready from day one. You can pay utility charges alongside your rent through the Resident Portal.

We allow residents to do a lease transfer. If you've found someone to take over your apartment, let our office know so we can walk you through the process and what it entails.

Rent at Jefferson Flats is paid through the Entrata Resident Portal, which accepts payments from most US bank accounts as well as international debit and credit cards. Many residents open a US bank account shortly after arrival, but it's not required for your initial rent payments. Contact our leasing team with any questions about payment methods available from your country.

We know visa processing timelines can vary. Your lease start date and rent obligation begin on the date listed in your lease, even if your arrival is delayed. If you anticipate a delay, please contact our leasing team as soon as possible so we can plan for your move-in and discuss your options — the earlier we know, the more we can help.

Applicants without US credit history can complete their application by providing the following:

• A copy of your passport
• A copy of your I-20 (or DS-2019 for J-1 visa holders)
• Proof of admission to the University of Southern California
• A third-party guarantor such as LeapEasy, or an alternative arrangement discussed with our leasing team
